Taking a tumble: The tables turned as referee Webb showed his sense of humour by diving over theatrically before shoving Lewis Holtby (Picture from Premier League)
HOWARD Webb was comically slide-tackled by Lewis Holtby during Ledley King’s testimonial on Monday night.
The Premier League official was chased down by Holtby, who has just returned from a loan spell at relegated Fulham, after stealing the ball from the midfielder in the second half.
In a light-hearted incident, the German international upended Webb, who exaggerated a dive much to the delight of the White Hart Lane crowd.
The referee got to his feet before jokingly pushed over Holtby whilst being restrained by Steffen Freud in a moment which added to an entertaining match.
Former Spurs skipper King scored from the spot as his guest XI won 6-3 against a plethora of current Tottenham players.
Webb, 42, will be England’s representative at the World Cup in Brazil this summer.
