PARIS St-Germain have signed right-back Serge Aurier on a season-long loan from Toulouse.

The French champions have the option to buy the 21-year-old permanently but have Uefa Financial Fair Play rules to presently contend with.

The Ivory Coast international has 11 international caps to his name, playing in all three of their World Cup matches in Brazil.

Aurier, who had been heavily linked with moves to Arsenal and Tottenham, passed a medical on Wednesday and will wear the number 19 shirt for the capital club.

"To play for Paris Saint-Germain, with the exceptional players this club has, is a dream come true. I will give my maximum to help the club reach the summits," he told the club website.

"After taking part in the World Cup for the first time, I am having a fantastic summer. I would like to thank the club for the confidence they have shown in me."

Aurier progressed through the youth ranks at Lens, spending three years in the north where he made his Ligue 1 debut during the 2009-10 campaign.

After joining Toulouse in January 2012, he broke into the first team at the Stadium Municipal, making the Ligue 1 Team of the Year last season after scoring six goals and providing the same number of assists.

His arrival at the Parc des Princes was swiftly followed by the departure of right-back Christophe Jallet, 30, who has joined Lyon a three-year deal.

PSG's transfer budget has been significantly reduced by Uefa's FFP with a sizeable amount spent on their only previous acquisition this summer, Chelsea defender David Luiz for £50 million.
