TOTTENHAM have completed the signings of Michel Vorm and Ben Davies from Premier League rivals Swansea.

Netherlands goalkeeper Vorm has agreed a four-year contract at White Hart Lane, costing around £3.5 million.

Welsh full-back Davies joins on a five-year contract as part of a swap deal which sees Icelandic midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson move the other way.

Vorm and Davies are Tottenham's first two signings of the summer under new manager Mauricio Pochettino.

30-year-old Vorm arrived at Swansea at the start of their debut Premier League campaign in 2011 from Dutch side FC Utrecht.

Impressing during 89 league appearances, his form earned international recognition as the stopper was included in Holland's Euro 2012 and World Cup 2014 squads.

He made just one brief appearance in Brazil as a substitute in their third place play-off victory over the host nation.

Vorm, whose future was uncertain after Lukasz Fabianski joined from Arsenal in May, will compete with Hugo Lloris and Brad Friedel for the number one jersey at Spurs.

Davies, 21, signed a professional contract with the Swans in 2011 after progressing through the youth ranks.

He made his first-team debut in August 2012 after Neil Taylor sustained a long-term injury and has since impressed, winning the club's Young Player of the Year for the past two seasons.

Neath-born Davies caught the eye of Wales boss Chris Coleman, who handed him the first of his 10 caps in a World Cup qualifier against Scotland in October 2012.

Tottenham fended off competition from Liverpool to capture the signature of Davies and has cast doubt over the future of Danny Rose at the north London club.

"I had never thought or wanted to leave Swansea, but an opportunity like this doesn’t come up often in your career," Davies, who was part of the Swans' pre-season tour of the USA, told their official website.

"I will always be grateful for what Swansea City has done for me and it will always be the club in my heart.

"Moving to Spurs is a massive footballing challenge for me again, but I'm looking forward to it.

"They were the ones chasing me from the beginning and I want to repay the faith they have shown in me by doing well for them and continuing to improve as a player."
