DEFENDER Harry Maguire has completed his move from Sheffield United to Hull City for £2.5 million.
The 21-year-old has joined the Premier League club on a three-year deal, with the option to extend his stay by a further year.
Maguire made 166 appearances in all competitions for the Blades, scoring 12 goals, and has been capped once by England Under-21s against Northern Ireland in November 2012.
"As soon as I heard of Hull City's interest, I wanted to make the move," he told the club's official website.
"Coming here and having the chance to play in the Premier League, it was a no brainer really. It's a great opportunity to come here and it's a fantastic challenge - one that I'm really excited about.
"Obviously I had a great time at Sheffield United, but another season playing in League One is something that didn’t really appeal to me.
"I wanted a new challenge and a new opportunity and obviously coming to Hull City provides me with both of those things."
The highly-rated Maguire made his Blades debut towards the end of the 2010/11 campaign and has quickly cemented a regular place in the team.
He has been a permanent fixture at the heart of the United defence in the third tier and his performances have earned the club's Player of the Year in each of the last three seasons.
His arrival comes on the same day that Scotland left-back Andrew Robertson also completed his move from Dundee United.
Tigers boss Steve Bruce has also signed Blackpool forward Tom Ince, winger Robert Snodgrass from Norwich and Spurs midfielder Jake Livermore this summer.
