AMELIA Mauresmo will remain Andy Murray's coach for the "foreseeable future", the British number one has confirmed.

The 27-year-old, who is currently preparing for the Canadian Open in Toronto, announced the link-up with the former Wimbledon champion shortly before the grass-court season.

But Murray's Wimbledon exit to Grigor Dimitrov at the quarter-final stage cast doubt over the longevity of the partnership.

Although, Mauresmo, of France, was pictured at Murray's recent training camp in Miami and it appears she will now travel 25 weeks per year with the Scot.

The delay of an official announcement about Mauresmo seems to have been caused by the holiday period with the relevant lawyers drawing up the paperwork being on vacation.

At a press conference in Miami, Murray said of Mauresmo: "I really enjoy working with her, she's helped me a lot.

"She integrated well with the rest of the team. It's been a good start. Now it's about me producing the results."

Mauresmo, 35, had pledged not to make any major changes to Murray's game ahead of the defence of both his Queen's and Wimbledon titles this summer.

However, Murray admitted he needed to make improvements following the straight-sets defeat by Dimitrov, which saw him drop down to 10th in the ATP world rankings.

Murray had been without a coach since the departure of Ivan Lendl in March, with the pair having worked together for two years in which the Scot won Olympic gold, the 2012 US Open and last year's Wimbledon.

It has been suggested Mauresmo has firm ideas but a more consensual approach in comparison to Lendl, who was a more authoratitive operator.
