CELTIC have signed highly-rated teenage defender Jason Denayer on a season-long loan from Manchester City.
The 19-year-old Belgian was part of City's pre-season preparations and was included in the first-team squad for the tour of Scotland.
He arrives at the Scottish champions at the same time as Bulgarian midfielder Aleksandar Tonev, who has also joined on loan from Aston Villa.
Denayer, a member of City's Elite Development squad, was nominated for the EDS Player of the Year award after impressing throughout the 2013/14 campaign.
Former Arsenal midfielder Patrick Vieira, who manages City's EDS team, believes it is "a good loan move" for the player.
"It's a great chance for him to go and get some experience. He's going to a team who will have a chance to play in the Champions League or Europa League so it is a really positive move," Vieira told City's official website.
Denayer, who has been described by Celtic as "an exciting and talented young player", could feature against St Johnstone in the club's Scottish Premiership opener on Wednesday.
He will also be eligible to play in Celtic's Champions League play-off against Slovenian champions Maribor.
Denayer, who began his career at Anderlecht, is Celtic's fourth summer signing after Tonev, Cardiff loanee Jo Inge Berget and goalkeeper Craig Gordon.
